VertiStone

Applications: Wall surfaces, indoor & outdoors, Stairs, Bathrooms, Pools, Concrete, Tiles, Plasterboard, Hardwood, Plywood, and Chipboard.

Features: Strong vertical adhesive with excellent weather and UV resistance. Excellent thermal resistance with a max service temperature of 80 degrees. Max shock temperature 200 degrees. Outstanding chemical resistance, easy to apply, resistant to UV, rain, frost and non foaming.

Resin curing time

Potlife: ± 30 minutes (20°C)

Touching Dry Time: ± 7 hours (25°C)

Drying Time: 24 hours (25°C)

Install temperature: 0°C – 40°C

Primer application rate

1-2mm pebble size = 150g/m2

2-4mm pebble size = 300g/m2

4-6mm pebble size = 500g/m2

Easy as...

  • 1 - Prime

    Clean and apply the 1k primer to your vertical surface.

  • 2 - Mix

    Mix stone with VertiStone binder until a homogeneous mixture is obtained (approx. 2 minutes). This can be mixed by hand in a large flexitub or wheel barrow. A paddle mix can also be used.

  • 3 - Apply

    Apply a 6–8 mm layer of the stone-and-resin mix with a trowel, working from the ground up. Apply even pressure and smooth until the stone is fully compacted and fixed in place.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long after applying the vertical primer should my VertiStone (stone and resin mix) be applied to the vertical surface?

Typically around 5 minutes, or until tacky which is subject to the temperature on the day of installation.

If you find the stone and resin is not sticking to the primer please wait for the primer to become slightly tackier

What is the maximum thickness i can apply VertiStone?

Typically 8mm for a 3mm VertiStone kit and 10mm for a 6mm VertiStone kit. For applications where greater depths need to be achieved, it is recommended to use a vendor product to build up depths before using your vertistone as the finish layer.

Is 3mm or 6mm Vertistone easier to use?

The 3mm vertistone blends often allows for fair easier adhesion compared ot the heavier 6mm stone. Expect more wastage and lesser spread rate when using a 6mm stone.

Is VertiStone DIY friendly?

Yes, allow being a thicker viscosity resin, has a more challenging workability compared to our standard DIY kit resin. It requires a little more patience and time but an excellent result can certainty be achieved.

Please be sure to buy your VertiStone Binder Kit in conjunction with the 1K Primer which is sold as a separate product.

Can I use VertiStone on a flat surface?

If absolutely necessary or in a small patch like scenarios you can use VertiStone in isolated flat sections, however it is always recommended to use our DIY Kits on flat surfaces being designed for traffic-able applications.
